Officers Respond to Shots Fired Call on Giddings

Just after 10:30 Tuesday morning, WFPD responded to a shots fired call.

Just after 10:30 Tuesday morning, WFPD responded to a shots fired call in the 1300 block of Giddings Street. According to the WFPD, witnesses reported seeing a black male run into a residence in the same block.

The location was cleared for safety after officers made contact with a resident at the location. A black male was then arrested for unrelated warrants.

Wichita Falls High School, several blocks away from the incident went on lock down during the incident, which lasted for about an hour.

The police department says the incident is still under investigations as to if any shots were actually fired. They assure us there is no immediate threat to the public or schools in this area.
