Oklahoma Municipal Elections to be Held Tuesday

Residents in several Oklahoma cities will go to the polls Tuesday in municipal elections, and some communities also have bond issues to say yea or nay to.
Residents in several Oklahoma cities will go to the polls Tuesday in municipal elections, and some communities also have bond issues to say yea or nay to.

Some of the cities that have municipal elections tomorrow are Walters, Waurika, and Duncan.

Waurika voters will vote on a change to the city charter requiring elected officials to live within the city limits, and if they move out, to relinquish their seat.

Duncan voters will vote on the ward 2 councilor and on extending the half cent sales tax for economic development and city improvements for another 5 years.

Lawton Public School District residents will vote on 2 separate bond issues, one for $22 million for repairs and technology improvements and one for $8 million for new buses.
