One in Custody after SWAT Situation on Tower Dr.

One person has been taken into custody by Wichita Falls Police after a possible aggravated assault

UPDATE AT 7:50AM:


Wichita Falls Police have released the name of the man arrested in this incident. They say 38-year-old Shaeed Muhammed will be charged with aggravated assault family violence. His bond has not been set at this time. Police believe he and his girlfriend, a 34-year-old woman, got into a fight. They say Muhammed cut the woman on her left elbow with a knife before barricading himself inside the home in the 5200 block of Tower Drive. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. 


UPDATE:

Wichita Falls Police arrest a man this morning after they say he barricaded himself in his home on Tower Drive.

Police were called to the home just before 2AM. Sergeant John Spragins with the Wichita Falls Police Department says officers were responding to reports of an aggravated assault. He says a man at the home stabbed or cut a woman.

When officers arrived they say the man refused to open his door. SWAT officers were called to the scene, and they were able to enter the home. The man was taken into custody just before 5 this morning.

Police have not released his name at this time, but say he is facing a charge of aggravated assault. Police say the woman's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

One person has been arrested after a SWAT situation on Tower Drive this morning. 

Wichita Falls police were there this morning with a person who they say barricaded themselves in a home. Police say that person has been taken into custody. 

They say the situation was connected to an aggravated assault reported earlier this morning
