An 88-year-old building in downtown Dallas is nothing but a pile of rubble Sunday morning.

Demolition teams brought down the vacant eight-story Thomas Building Sunday morning. It took a matter of seconds for about 300 pounds of dynamite and other explosives to level the building. Onlookers gathered at a safe distance to watch.

The building was built in the 19-20's by cotton tycoon Mike Thomas. Soon after the building crumbled, crews got to work removing the debris.
