Person of Interest in Murder Indicted on Unrelated Assault Charges

Jerry Joe Garza will face trial on two counts of aggravated assault.
A Wichita Falls man arrested for aggravated assault at a Wichita Falls nightclub several months ago will go to trial.
A Wichita County Grand Jury has indicted 40-year-old Jerry Joe Garza who's charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
According to an arrest affidavit, those charges stem from an incident at the Las Vegas Club on North Scott in late November.
Garza allegedly assaulted two men after he reportedly went into a jealous rage.
Police previously named Garza as a "person of interest" in the murder of Monica Partida, a Wichita Falls mother of three.
Her body was found in her home on Britain on Feb. 9.
The affidavit states Garza texted Partida several times the night of the assault at Las Vegas Club warning her that if she danced with anyone else at the night club, there would be trouble.
