Money, drugs, jewelry and benefit cards are among the items seized from two Wichita Falls convenience stores this week.

Wednesday morning police searched the Shop N' Go convenience store off Jacksboro Highway and Lucky's Seven convenience store on Rhea Road.

They seized more than 65-thousand dollars in cash and hundreds of packets of synthetic marijuana.

Police say the warrant search was part of an investigation that started almost a year ago into alleged food stamp fraud.

"People obtained items with the cards that was not authorized by law. K-2, they'd get cash and make purchases and alcohol and things that are not authorized", said Sgt. John Spagins of the WFPD.

Police say the investigation is not over and more arrests could come.

So far two people have been arrested in connection with this investigation.

35 year old Yovana Ballard and 27 year old Asif Juma are charged with the 3-rd degree felony of prohibited activities.
Both posted bond Thursday.
