Police: Woman and Accomplice Stole 51 Pair of Boots from Atwoods

Maricia Blair is charge with two counts of theft over $20,000.

Police say surveillance video leads them to arrest a Wichita Falls woman who they say stole more than 50 pair of western boots from a local store.

Thirty-nine year-old Maricia Blair is charged with two counts of theft under $20-thousand.

According to arrest affidavits, Blair and an accomplice, who police identify as Dwight Johnson II, stole from the Atwoods store in the 2000 block of Loop 11.

Police say store surveillance footage shows Blair and Johnson hiding boots and pull over jackets in a purse and a backpack and smuggling the items out of the store.

They say committed the two committed the thefts on two separate occasions last year and stole 51 pairs of boots and five jackets.

Blair is now out on bond.
