The local chapter of the American Red Cross is calling on all Texomans to give blood.
Blood donations during the summer are typically low because folks are away on vacation and more accidents take place that require blood.
But Red Cross officials say those factors are now impacting the blood supply in Texoma and beyond.
Nationwide, the blood supply is in a dangerous zone so we're asking everybody that possibly can... come in and donate whole blood or platelets,"
The Red Cross Blood Center has is extended its hours to make it more convenient for you to donate.
Here's a look at those hours.
The blood center is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
