Reilly Road Fill Station Changes Coming Soon

Changes are coming to the Reilly Road Fill Station to help stop abuse and maintain control of the usage.

Changes are coming to the Reilly Road Fill Station to help stop abuse and maintain control of the usage.
The fill station was installed more than 15 years ago for annexed city residents but city leaders say people in other cities, counties and even Oklahoma are using the water.
So starting October 15th the coin system will removed and replaced with an automated PIN/Account system terminal by the end of the year.
Until that system is in place, city officials say water will be available but only under controlled conditions.

"We're going to give water by appointment to the city residents and then for County residents we will man the station twice a week, Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 in the evening and then on Saturday from 8:30 in the morning to 11:30 in the morning," says Daniel Nix, operations manager for the City of Wichita Falls.

Nix says to prevent further abuse of the fill station, once the new system is in place users will only be allowed 7,500 gallons of water per month.
