The head  of the Texas Republican party predicts though Democrats will make gains in Texas,    Republicans will still maintain control of both house of the state legislature.
Key note speaker of the Wichita County Republican Women's October meeting was Republican party chairmen Steve Munisteri.
Munisteri is a 39 year veteran of Republican politics.
He says this election will be close and although he's hoping to see a red victory Democrats will probably make some gains in the state.
"They'll pick up some state house seats but we should still maintain a very good majority. Nationally we might lose a few congressional seats but I think republicans will pick up in the U.S. Senate, we have a chance to pick up in the TX senate and overall we hope we get the big prize which is the white house", said Munisteri.
Munisteri says the Republican base is energized far more than in 2008 so hes predicting a lot of Republican victories on November 6th.
