Robber Involved in 7-11 Hold-up Gets 45 Years in Prison

Akeem Nash was sentenced Thursday in 30th District Court.
The punishment is in after arguments for a Wichita Falls man convicted last week of a June 2012 hold-up of a local convenience store.

A jury found 23-year-old Akeem Nash guilty last week of the aggravated robbery of the 7-11 at Southwest Parkway and Barnett.

At that time, a 30th District Court judge asked for a pre-sentence investigation to be done on Nash.

According to court records, Nash faced a minimum of 15 years but up to 99 years or life in prison because he has juvenile convictions.

Those include three burglary of a habitation charges and one aggravated robbery charge, during which Nash admitted to holding a group of people at gunpoint.

Visiting Judge Roger Towery sentenced Nash to 45 years in prison.
