Search for Missing Store Clerk Continues

Surveillance video could hold new clue in case of missing store clerk.

(WDIV)  Surveillance video from a Norton Shores bar could help in the abduction case of a missing west Michigan mother.

In the video, the vehicle that wizzes past the bar is the gray minivan police are searching for in connection with the case of 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa. Heeringa, a clerk, was working at an Exxon Mobil gas station late Friday night when she apparently was abducted.

It wasn't until after she was gone that someone realized something was wrong.

A gas station customer called 911.

"There's nobody here," the caller said. "It wouldn't allow me to pump gas. I just walked inside, there's no one. There's a car here."

Heeringa's purse and car were left behind. The cash register was untouched.

"It's very suspicious, why there's nobody here," the 911 caller said.
