As Christmas day approaches several organizations plan to provide a taste of the holiday for those who would otherwise spend it alone.
Christmas is typically a day full of family, friends, presents and smiles.
But there are some who have no where to go and no family or friends to spend the day with.
That's why several non-profit organizations are opening their doors to anyone who wants to stop by, enjoy a holiday meal and fellowship with others.
From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Felix Lister Lodge #1217 will serve free Christmas lunch at 811 Homes in Wichita Falls.
If you go you can either eat there or take it with you.
Three places are serving Christmas lunch at noon tomorrow.
Here in Wichita Falls, a holiday lunch at the Salvation Army starts at its shelter on 7th Street as well as at Faith Mission Homeless Shelter on Travs Street.
And in Vernon, Pat and Glenna Bryant will host their 27th free Christmas lunch at Wilbarger Auditorium on Yamparika.
Doors will open around noon after volunteers finish delivering meals to homes.
And Santa will be on hand to give out toys to all good little girls and boys who attend.
