Shipley to Leave WFHS After Just One Year

Shipley is set to take a superintendent job in Alaska.
The newest administrator at Wichita Falls' oldest high school will soon be moving on.
Kevin Shipley began his stint as principal of Wichita Falls High School at the beginning of this school year.
District officials said they brought Shipley in because he has a strong background in school administration.
Before he came to WFISD, he worked for six years in the Houston area getting schools up to speed academically.
Shipley will become the superintendent of a school district located in southeast Alaska.
Last March he was named as a finalist for a principal position in Alaska, but he ended up taking the job at Old High.
