Skating With Santa

Kids skate with Santa and the WF Wildcats
The cool temperatures did not stop some Texoma families from taking to the indoor ice with a holiday celebrity.

The Wichita Falls Wildcats hosted "Skating With Santa" this afternoon.

Kids could take part in making crafts or take to the ice to skate with Santa Claus and Wichita Falls Wildcats hockey players.

Organizers say turnout for the event was great as many braved the weather to skate with Jolly Ol' Saint Nick.

"We had a great turnout, I was really worried about the weather. It looks like everybody wanted to come get some of the wiggles out with their kids and came out and had a really good time," said organizer Debi Fleetwood.

The crafts made by the kids at today's events will be displayed during the Wildcats' Winter Wonderland game Wednesday.

Fans are invited to wear an "ulgy" christmas sweater to the game for a chance at a prize.

The Wildcats will play the Lone Star Brahmas Wednesday at 7 pm.
