Solid Rock House of God Hosts Fresh Produce Distribution

The Solid Rock House of God, United Way, Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and the West Lynwood Community Center to distribute fresh produce to those in need.

Solid Rock House of God lent a helping hand in Wichita Falls Saturday by hosting a fresh produce food bank.

The church partnered with United Way, the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, and West Lynwood Community Center to help those in need in the community.

Wichita Falls residents were able to get all different types of fresh produce from carrots to watermelon at the church.
Church members and organizers say this is something that is meaningful not only to those receiving, but also to those helping out as well.

"We enjoy giving back to the community, and when the United Way asked us I was over joyed to be able to give back to the community," Solid House Rock of God pastor David Sapata said.

The fresh produce distribution takes place at the Solid Rock House of God every month on the second Saturday.

Organizers say the food giveaway helps about 200 families.
