Sprint is dialing up a cell phone for children. "Sprint we go" is aimed at children ages 5 through 12. The company touts the service as a way to communicate with kids on the go and to keep them safe.

Parents can control which incoming and outgoing phone numbers are allowed, the same with text messages. There's also a GPS feature to locate the phone or the child, a speed alert, notifying a parent if a child is in a speeding vehicle, and a panic alarm.

The service runs about 10 bucks a month, the phone can be about five.
