Stephens County authorities say a stabbing death in the Velma community yesterday appears to be a case of justifiable homicide...but the man now faces other charges.
Sheriff Wayne McKinney says 39-year-old Bryan Dean Miller died of a stab wound en route to Duncan Regional Hospital around 4:30 yesterday evening.
Miller reportedly forced his way into the home of 28-year-old Bobby Joe Dyer.
Sheriff McKinney says Miller began to beat Dyer... so Dyer grabbed a knife and stabbed Miller in self-defense.
Authorities aren't seeking murder charges against Dyer at this time....
But he *was* arrested after officers noticed three young children in the home had bruises...so he now faces charges of child abuse.
Officers say they also found marijuana in the house.
Bond has not been set yet.
