Sunday Evening Forecast: Jan 19, 2014

Clear and cool tonight. Temperatures will
drop into the low 30s with light south winds
5-10 mph.

Not as warm tomorrow. Highs will warm into
the mid 60s. Winds will switch out of the
north 10-20 mph in the afternoon behind a
cold front.

Fire danger will be very high once again
due to low humidity, mild temperatures,
and gusty north winds.

Turning Colder Late Week

Attention turns to the Thursday time frame when a strong arctic cold
front will move into Texoma. This will bring much colder temperatures.
Highs in the 40s. Lows in the teens and 20s.

There is some indication of a storm system moving out of the southwest
at the same time of the arctic front arriving. Some data suggest this storm
system may provide enough energy to produce light precipitation along
north Texas and southern Oklahoma.

Chances at the moment are very slim. There is a very small possibility that
with enough cold air in place any precipitation that falls could be in the form
of a wintry mix. As of now, however, this is just something to keep an eye on.
