Suspicious Markings on Child's Face Lead to Two Arrests

Virgie Callaso and Sergio Ramirez are each charged with injury to a child.
A second arrest is made in an injury to a child case after Wichita Falls teachers found suspicious markings on a 12-year-old boy's face.

Thirty-two year-old Virgie Collaso is now charged.

An arrest affidavit states she admitted to holding down the boy while 23-year-old Sergio Ramirez, who was previously arrested, spanked him with a belt.

Investigators say the boy told them Ramirez had hit him repeatedly with his open hand and a closed fist on his head, face and back.

He also said Ramirez sat on his back while hitting his buttocks with a closed fist and belt.

The officer reported finding redness and swelling on the top of the boy's head, and cuts and bruises under his eyes and around his shoulder.

Both remain behind bars in the Wichita County Jail.
