Texas taxpayers will pay most of the rehab bill for the affluenza teen, Ethan Couch, after he's ordered to attend a facility in Vernon.
Back in December, Ethan Couch, 16, was sentenced to ten years probation for drunk driving and killing four people.
The judge in the case ruled he should be tried as a juvenile because Ethan suffered from Affluenza.
The judge placed the teen in the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, where rehab costs about $700 a day.
Instead of paying that amount in full, the judge said they only have to pay about $40 a day for their son's treatment since it's a state run facility.
Tax dollars will pick up the rest of the cost for the teen's mental health treatment.
