Testimony to Begin Wednesday in Capital Murder Trial

The trial of Benjamin Prince is set to start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 30th District Court.  Prince is charged in the murders of his young son and cousin.
A jury is seated late this afternoon and testimony will begin tomorrow morning at 9:30 in the trial of a man charged with killing his young son and 20-year-old cousin.
Thirty-year-old Benjamin Prince is charged with capital murder and remains behind bars on a $2-million bond.
Wichita Falls police were called when screams and gunshots were reported in a home on Rene Circle, a cul-de-sac west of the base, in August of 2009.
Officers say when they arrived, prince was trying to drag grant back into the house.
The child's mother, Nicole Grant, told Wichita Falls police say Prince hit the toddler several times in the head with a handgun as well as a claw hammer.
The affidavit also states 20- year-old John Prince was shot in the head.
Grant suffered a gunshot wound to her shoulder.
