Texoma Filipino Group Raising Money for Typhoon Victims

Fil-Am of North Texas is raising money for the people of The Philippines.
The new death toll numbers from the Typhoon Haiyan has reached more than 4,000 with over 900-thousand still displaced.

Those hundreds of thousands of people are struggling to find the means to survive each day.

Food, water and medicine are scarce, and there's little shelter available.

A group of Filipinos, the Fil-Am of North Texas, is banding together to help their home country.

Dr. Armando San Diego, president of the Fil-Am of North Texas, says, "I feel very sorry for all the victims and the survivors. I just can't imagine how difficult that they're struggling to find food to eat and clean water to drink."

The Fil-Am of North Texas is collecting monetary donations to send to The Philippines to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

You can mail your donations to P.O. Box 3487 Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
