Although there were few people out at the polls in Wichita Falls this afternoon thousands of people made their opinion known by voting early.
More than 7,200 people voted early on the Wichita Falls bond issue and school board of trustees.
Election officials say several hundred voters headed to the polls early in two other Texoma cities.
In Nocona election officials say 156 people cast early ballots.
While in Electra officials say 466 people cast their early ballots and they received three mail in ballots.
One voter said the school bond issue is what brought him out to the polls in Wichita Falls.
“I just got out of high school last year and Rider Old High I played football and baseball,” says voter Jack Pryor Johnson
Polls stay open until 7 p.m. Saturday night.
