Saturday night residents of Wichita Falls took to the streets, marching together in an effort to take a stand against violence and discrimination in our community.
Saturday night residents of Wichita Falls took to the streets, marching together in an effort to take a stand against violence and discrimination in our community.

In addition to bringing residents together in an event that will promote peace in our area. It was also to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's march in Washington D.C.

Dozens showed up at the 400 block of Bailey Avenue to march down the streets, some wearing t-shirts remembering family members and friends who they've lost due to violent acts.

The respect for life peaceful walk was focused on spreading Martin Luther King Jr's message of hope for everyone.
