Texomans to Pay Tribute this Memorial Day

There are many Memorial Day events happening across Texoma Monday.
Tomorrow is a day when we remember those members of our nation's military who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live free.

There are many events around Texoma to honor those veterans who gave their all for our country, so there are plenty of chances for you to go and give your thanks.

Here are some of those events:

A ceremony at the war memorial at Henrietta Courthouse will begin at 8 a.m.

There's a tribute at the courthouse square in Vernon that's at 11 a.m.

The Scotland-Windthorst VFW Post 2676 and Ladies Auxiliary will host a ceremony at St. Mary's Grotto in Windthorst starting at 11 a.m.

Their second service starts at 1 p.m. at Scotland's St. Boniface cemetery.

Wichita County's service will be at 6 tomorrow night at the county cemetery.

There will be a ceremony at 10 a.m. at Nocona Cemetery Pavilion.

At 2 p.m., a more than 100 new names to the Montague County Veteran's Monument will be unveiled at the county courthouse.

A ceremony at Crestview Memorial Park starts at 7 a.m.

There's another ceremony at Crestview Memorial Park starting at 10 a.m. at the gravesite of David Gibbs.

The Eastlawn Cemetery ceremony, hosted by VFW Post 8878, begins at at 7 a.m.

Riverside Cemetery's ceremony starts at 9 a.m. at Pat Carrigan's gravesite.

Electra Cemetery's ceremony starts at 10 a.m.

American Legion Post 1 is hosting a ceremony that starts at Archer City Courthouse at 10 a.m. and will then move to the cemetery.

American Legion Post 264 and VFW Post 10455 will host a ceremony at Burkburnett Cemetery at 11 a.m.
