Hundreds of thousands of Toyota Priuses could be pushed into a recall... if federal safety regulators dig deep into a potential problem in the steering assembly. An automotive lab in Virginia is urging regulators to investigate the vehicles after evaluating a client's car. The car owner complained he heard a snapping noise and the steering failed on his 2005 prius. A probe could affect about 561- thousand of the gas- electric hybrids from the 2004 through 2009 model years.
