Wichita Falls police followed a trail of debris from an accident scene to find the driver they say left that scene early Tuesday morning.

Thirty-nine-year-old Anaka Ledbetter was jailed on a charge of DWI and striking an unattended vehicle.

Police were dispatched to 1300 Britain around 2:40 Tuesday morning on a hit and run accident. When they arrived, they found a Buick Century with heavy damage lodged in a bush.

They then followed a trail of parts and debris to the 1200 block of Monroe and say they found a pickup with heavy front end damage half in a driveway and half in the street, and say Ledbetter was standing in the yard.

They say she admitted to them she had been in an accident and left, and had consumed about a 12 pack of beer. Her blood alcohol level tested at .20.
