Tree of Life Helps Bring Christmas to Adults in Need

The weather isn't the only sign that it's the holiday season.

Christmas trees are popping up across Texoma and Monday the Texoma Community Credit Union put up their tree for a good cause.

The Tree of Life has ornaments that were decorated by the skills class in Wichita Falls. If you pick up one you can help provide a gift for someone in the Adult Protective Services program.

APS helps adults who have been a victim of abuse or neglect.

Each ornament comes with a wish list and organizers say toiletries, hygiene items, and accessories like hats and gloves are asked for the most.

“It's such a great cause, we see a lot of older members here in our credit union and we see them come in and help other people their same age who maybe needs some help,” says Teller Supervisor Maegan Honeycut.

If you want to get involved you can go to either one of the two Texoma Community Credit Union locations, pick up an ornament then register it with the receptionist then bring the gift on the wish list back to the credit union by December 16th.
