Tuesday Evening Forecast 7-16-13

Rain chances will decrease tomorrow and the heat starts to return.
Discussion and Forecast:
Scattered/widespread showers and some storms will continue to affect
parts of the area tonight... but the coverage will likely decrease
some after sunset and the loss of heating. The most widespread
activity will continue to gradually shift west overnight as the upper low that
is causing the rain continues to move away from the area.
Isolated/scattered showers and storms will remain possible through
Thursday but be more daylight driven with afternoon heating aiding in
development the next couple of days. A few strong storms will be
possible. Temperatures will also continue to gradually warm with
highs in the 90s in most locations by Thursday. The hot and humid
conditions will continue into early next week.

A brief dry period will occur before rain chances return this
weekend. Models show a shortwave rotating into the Great Lakes
region this weekend. This shortwave could drag a weak cold front
near or into the northern forecast region. With the moisture remaining over the region...
heating... and the boundary... showers/storms will be possible over
the weekend for parts of the area with the best chance across
northern Oklahoma.
