Electra Police Chief Johnny Morris will have to wait to see if he will continue heading up the police department.

Morris became police chief 11 years ago.

A meeting was set for tomorrow afternoon to address Morris' immediate termination but earlier today Electra City Administrator Larry Pannell sent out a notice saying because of a family emergency Mayor Curtis Warner will not be able to attend.

So, although commissioners will still hold Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. meeting at the Electra Chamber of Commerce, members will *not* take any action on the agenda items dealing with Chief Morris.

Pannell has not said when those items will be addressed.
