The Pentagon has released new numbers showing reports of sexual assault in the military are up 50 percent. This as two court martials involving alleged sexual misconduct are set this month at Sheppard Air Force Base.

The first court martial will begin Monday and it involves a student instructor pilot charged with exposing himself to civilians at Midwestern State University in April and October of last year.

Second Lt. Benjamin Sears was removed from flying status and charges were filed in February. If convicted, Sears could be dismissed from the air force and given up to 2 years confinement.

The other court martial at Sheppard is set for later this month and it involves an airman 1st class charged with sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl and attempts to entice two other teenage girls to engage in sexual activity.
