Two Men Listed in Fair, Stable Condition Following Explosion Yesterday

A father and son team were working on oil tanks, trying to get them rigged up and ready to go, and were using a cutting torch when there was an explosion and fire.
Two men burned in an explosion at an oil field south of Henrietta yesterday are in fair condition this evening.
   
The accident happened just after two off FM 1883 and S. Myers Road.  Bluegrove Volunteer Fire officials say 60 year-old Neil Bowers and his 29 year-old son Andrew were working on oil tanks, trying to get them rigged up and ready to go, and were using a cutting torch when there was an explosion and fire.
   
They are both currently hospitalized at Parkland Memorial in Dallas.
