Two of the three teens accused in the murder of Australian baseball player Chris Lane pleaded not guilty Thursday morning.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Jones and sixteen-year-old Chancey Luna, are charged with 1st degree murder.

Last week, after preliminary hearings, the judge ruled the state had enough evidence to try the two teens.

Their trial has been scheduled for August 18th. Most of the evidence for the case came from 16 year old James Edwards Jr., the third teen, who says he was in the vehicle with Jones and Luna when Lane was shot and killed.

Edwards is giving his testimony in hopes of a lesser charge of accessory after the fact.
