UPDATE: Identity Released of Woman Who Died After Being Struck by Train

Wichita Falls police say a woman is dead after she was struck by a train Saturday night.
UPDATE:
Wichita Falls Police say they've determined the identity of a woman who was hit and killed by a train over the weekend.

Police say 49 year old Vicki Lynn Rentschler was hit around 8:30 Saturday night in the 1500 block of Iowa Park Road.

When they got there, officers say they found a train had struck and killed a woman who had been on foot.

They say they do not suspect any type of foul play was involved.

Sergeant John Spragins says the crash happened around 8:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of Iowa Park Rd.

When they got there, officers say the found a female had been struck by a train and was deceased.

At this time, police say they don't know the identity of the woman.

WFPD Criminal Investigation and Crash Investigation units remain on the scene.
