<span mce_style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, sans-serif; line-height: normal;" style="line-height: normal;"><font color="#000000" face="arial, sans-serif">A golfer was swallowed by a sinkhole and escaped after falling 18-feet below the ground.</font></span>

(KSDK) Mark Mihal, founder of fantasy golf website GolfManna.com and a mortgage dealer for USA Mortgage, was one of four playing at a golf course when the ground opened up beneath him.

Mihal fell 18-feet and landed in mud at the bottom of the sinkhole, according to his wife, Lori.

Other golfers with Mihal contacted the clubhouse immediately and asked they call an ambulance as well as a ladder and rope.

Lori Mihal said her husband dislocated his shoulder in the fall and was unable to use one of his arms to try and climb out.

One of Mihal's friends went into the sinkhole to try and get him out.

Mihal was out of the sinkhole within 20 minutes and taken to an ambulance that arrived at the golf course.
