U.S. Congressman Mac Thornberry Looking Toward November Election

The primary election has come and gone. And now, one Texoma congressman is looking toward November.

Even though Incumbent Mac Thornberry had two republican challengers, he won easily without a runoff.

Thornberry has held the 13th District U.S. Congressional seat for nearly 20 years. In November, he faces Wichita Falls businessman and democratic opponent, Mike Minter, who declined to talk on camera.

"Everybody is frustrated about what is or is not happening in Washington," says Rep. Thornberry.

Thornberry says he's grateful republicans have faith in his work, as they have for 9 terms. He now faces democratic challenger Mike Minter for the seat and Thornberry says this is his campaign strategy for the upcoming election in November.

"It's to continue to shoot straight with people about the challenges we face.  Also, to offer suggestions on better approaches and again, do my job whether it is trying to look after Sheppard or other issues related to national security," Rep. Thornberry explains.

We offered to interview democrat Mike Minter but after conferring with advisers he declined saying it's early in the race and he'll speak later in the campaign.
