Veteran Wichita Falls Police Officer Indicted

Gerald Anthony Morgan will face trial on charges on assault family violence and injury to a child.
    A Wichita Falls police officer with more than ten years on the force has been indicted for injury to a child and assault family violence.
    Officer Gerald Anthony Morgan is charged with assault family violence and injury to a child, both third degree felonies.
    According to arrest records, the incident happened in the 51-hundred block of Jamaica in December.
    Documents say Morgan accused his wife of taking his medication and the two started arguing.
    The affidavit states Morgan took her medication from her purse.
    The woman told police she tried to take it back, Morgan pushed her, and she fell onto her 10-year-old daughter.
    Then it states their 15-year-old son told Morgan to return the medication, and Morgan grabbed his throat and pushed him against a door.
    The wife tried to stop Morgan, and according to the report, he threw her against a wall.
    Morgan was put on paid administrative leave after his arrest.
