This morning in Washington, D.C., transportation, safety, and law enforcement officials joined forces to officially kick off a holiday drunk-driving crackdown across the nation.

It's called "Drive Sober or get Pulled Over" and the message they're trying to get across is exactly that. If you drive after drinking alcohol, any of more than ten-thousand officers spread out across the nation can pull you over.

Transportation and safety officials say it's a scenario that's 100 percent preventable, and there are several options other than getting behind the wheel.

You're encouraged to call a taxi or a sober friend or family member. Whatever you do, don't drive.
