Water Development Board Report Shows Drought Intensifying in Texoma

The latest drought report from the Texas Water Development Board shows that while more of the state is now out of drought, it's intensifying in other parts, especially the panhandle and here in Texoma.
The latest drought report from the Texas Water Development Board shows that while more of the state is now out of drought, it's intensifying in other parts, especially the panhandle and here in Texoma.

Sixty-four percent of Texas remains in moderate to exceptional drought. This is down one percent from last week and from 85% a year ago.

There are three small areas still in exceptional drought, including most of Wichita and Wilbarger counties.

The seasonal outlook through the spring is not what we want to see. It shows removal or improvement from drought in East Texas, with continued to worsening drought in most of the western half.
