Winter Weather and Wind Chill advisories in effect for Texoma
Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for
all of Texoma from now until 4 PM Thursday
for light snow accumulations that may cause
travel problems.

Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for all
of Texoma until noon Thursday for wind
chill values below zero.

When and where?
Light snow showers will begin in our north
west and western counties this evening after
6 PM. Mainly Jackson, Tillman, Hardeman,
Foard, Knox counties.

Light snow will spread east across Texoma
overnight, reaching I-44 in Oklahoma
around midnight.

Light snow will continue to push east, reaching
I-44 south of the Red River in the morning.

The best chance for all of Texoma to see snow
will be from sunrise Thursday to mid-morning
Thursday.

Snow will end from west to east and should be
completely out of Texoma by the afternoon.

How much?
In general, only light amounts are expected
with widespread 1 to 2 inches likely for most 
of Texoma. However, the heavier totals may
fall just along and north of the Red River.

Impacts
The precipitation is expected to be all snow.
Slick spots may develop throughout the day as
snow becomes packed down by traffic, especially
on bridges and overpasses.
