Weekend Texoma Rainfall Totals

After waiting nearly a year for a decent extended rainfall the skies opened up during the weekend of Oct. 8th & 9th helping to reduce our rainfall deficit.
Here's a list of rainfall totals from around Texoma.  Rainfall numbers come from KFDX Weather Watcher report, the National Weather Service stations and our Storm Warn 3 radar estimates.

Not to bring up bad news but we have received phone calls and questions about how this has effected our rainfall deficit with the drought and the rainfall over the weekend takes our deficit from about 21 inches to about 17 inches below where we should be during the last 13 months.

But hey, this is GOOD NEWS that we got rain.  Going into a second La Nina year we really needed this rain.
