West Foundation Academy Students "Act Up" in Class

We've always been told to not "act out" in class, but that's exactly what students are doing at West Foundation Elementary.
We've always been told to not "act out" in class, but that's exactly what students are doing at West Foundation Elementary.

Third graders have been hard at work putting together short skits for their fellow classmates. Reader's theater is a way for students to act out stories and become their favorite characters.

They've been reading their lines and holding dress rehearsals to make sure everything is perfect for the big show. And while they make this line of work seem easy, they do have to overcome a few challenges.

"The most difficult thing is that is probably going up in front of all the students," one student said.

"The most difficult thing is that I have to get hugged by a girl," said another.

And the great thing about reader's theater is that it helps students break out of their shells.
