WF Businessman Speaks at Iowa Caucus on Perry's Behalf

A Wichita Falls businessman who was in Iowa to help Governor Rick Perry on his campaign trail is making his way back from Texoma.
Dave Lilley says about 750 caucus events took place in Iowa, and since Governor Perry couldn't attend all of them, about 18-hundred people made speeches on the governor's behalf.
Lilley was asked to make one of those speeches.
He says he's known the governor for about 19 years, ever since Perry was serving his first term as secretary of agriculture.
Lilley says Governor Perry and his family were exhausted after yesterday's caucuses, but they're ready to hit the ground running in South Carolina.
"I think it shows the resiliency of Governor Perry that within eight or 10 hours he is back on a plane and headed back to South Carolina to continue the campaign and continue spreading his message of both fiscal and social conservatism," Lilley says.
He says he has no further plans to continue working with the campaign, but that he'll stay in touch with Perry representatives just in case they need his help in the future.
