WF City Council Approves Airport Grant Money

The Wichita Falls City Council gives the go-ahead for the city manager to apply for two grants to be used at Wichita Falls Regional Airport and Kickapoo Downtown Airport.
Tuesday at City Hall, councilors gave the go-ahead for the city manager to apply for two grants to be used at Wichita Falls Regional Airport and Kickapoo Downtown Airport.

They are matching grants, totaling $50,000 each, from the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division.

The grants will be used to install security cameras and taxiway lights.

Also, next week the city expects to get word on a pending $5.3 million FAA grant for the terminal and apron of the new Wichita Falls Regional Airport.
