WF City Councilors Voting on MPEC Scoreboard

The MPEC could soon have a new scoreboard.
The MPEC could soon have a new scoreboard.

In October, the 4b sales tax corporation approved a little more $700,000 to go toward improvements at the MPEC.

And Wichita Falls city councilors approved $200,000 to go toward the improvements.

Part of that money was set aside for a new LED video scoreboard.

And at Tuesday’s city council meeting, they're voting on a resolution that would purchase the new screen from Daktronics, Incorporated for a little more than $820,000.

That's about $80,000  more than was budgeted for the scoreboard.

The extra money would come from savings in the general fund that came out of the Memorial Auditorium roofing
