W.F. Utility Dept. Working out Kinks in New Colletions Kiosk

A new, faster way to pay your Wichita Falls city water bill has some customers slow to embrace the technology.
A new, faster way to pay your Wichita Falls city water bill has some customers slow to embrace the technology.

Last Tuesday, the City of Wichita Falls replaced the drive thru window at the water department with this automated collections kiosk.

While the kiosk is expected to make paying your water bill faster and more convenient, city officials say there are some kinks they're in the process of smoothing out.

"It asks you twice if this is the account you want to pay on.  So, we're working with the developer to get one of those screens taken away.  You have to right now in order to print a receipt you have to push a button so instead of pushing a button we're gonna have that option taken away where once they put their payment in it automatically prints them a receipt," says Azure Keer, utility collections billing manager with the City of Wichita Falls.

Officials have directions on the kiosk and on the city's website.
