WFISD Superintendent Issues Response to Bond Failure

The Wichita Falls ISD Superintendent Dr. John Frossard has issued a statement.
The Wichita Falls ISD Superintendent Dr. John Frossard has issued an official statement in response to the $125 million bond not passing.

We understood from the beginning that this bond proposal would be an uphill battle because of the severe drought. Nevertheless, because of the upcoming bond debt roll off, we knew this was our one chance to upgrade our secondary facilities while also minimizing the financial impact on taxpayers. As a result, we believed the voters deserved a choice.

A lot of people on both sides of this issue have worked very hard. We appreciate their interest in our schools. Hopefully, once our local water issues are resolved, the community will come together in support of a bond to improve our facilities.
