The Wichita Falls Police Department Financial Crimes Unit is currently investigating a scam that occurred this month.
From the WFPD:

The Wichita Falls Police Department Financial Crimes Unit is currently investigating a scam that occurred this month. The victim was approached by the suspect, who was described as a black male with an African accent, in the parking lot of a local business.

The suspect wanted help in transferring a large about of money into the United States. The second suspect posed as a local citizen as well but was actually a part of the crime.

The police department wants to warn citizens to be aware of these types of scams. Often the suspects are looking to cash checks or want help in transferring money.
