WFPD Investigates Dozens of Stolen Weapons Found at Used Car Shop

Police are looking into why dozens of guns, including some stolen guns, were found inside a Wichita Falls business.
Police say charges are pending after they find dozens of guns including several stolen weapons at a local business.

WFPD Sgt. John Spragins says the department received a tip that the weapons were located in the business this morning.

Police arrived on scene at Skinner's Used Cars, located in the 28-hundred block of Jacksboro Highway, at around 9:45 this morning.

Among that evidence so far are 30 guns.

Officers say at least three of those guns have come back stolen.

Also, a silver Chevy Tahoe, welder, generators, and a lawn tractor were seized.

Police say it's an investigation that could take some time.

"In order to determine if they're stolen or not, they have to run serial numbers and makes and models of the weapons," Sgt. Spragins says. "Right now they're trying to do that. There will be a lot of follow-up to this investigation."

No arrests have been made at this time and no word yet if these weapons were used to commit any crimes in the city, but again, police say they expect charges to soon be filed in this case.
